Occupational Therapy is a degree-based health profession, regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Occupational Therapists use a holistic perspective to help people live a more independent life. “Occupation” refers to all the things we do every day that contribute to living a meaningful life. Please allow up to 2 hours for your initial OT assessment. Most of this time is spent gathering information in an informal way through talking to you and your carers (if applicable). If I am completing a standardised assessment tool some of my questions may seem “formal”. Some of my questions may seem “odd” or “random” but please rest assured that everything asked has a purpose and helps me gain an accurate, holistic understanding of you and your situation. I will also ask you to “do things” e.g. show me how to get in / out of bed, the value of observation should never be underestimated!

I also do a lot of work “behind the scenes” (non-face-to face supports) before, after and in between our visits including (but not limited to) completion of assessment tools, communicating with stakeholders, clinical documentation, coordinating quotes, identifying / sourcing equipment, reviewing evidence and/or completing technical drawings. For complex home modifications non-face-to-face supports make up a large portion of my time.

No. However I do require certain information to see whether we are a good fit before booking an assessment. Please be in contact to arrange a referral form.

Range OT is a fully mobile services that visits people in their homes in Toowoomba and surrounds (up to 1 hour) . When not seeing clients I work from my home office in Middle Ridge (this is where travel is calculated to/from).

Sometimes. Due to the nature of my work it’s not always possible to do everything remotely. Please discuss your individual needs / circumstances with me to see whether this might be appropriate.

$193.99 per hour (face-to-face support, non-face-to-face supports and/or travel).

I am regularly reviewing and following guidelines / recommendations set by the Government, my registration board and my professional body (which are subject to change). To ensure both of our well-being I will call you the day before your appointment to ask some health / COVID-19 related questions.
